South African fast bowler Wayne Parnell converted to ISLAM

South African fast bowler Wayne Parnell has announced that he has converted to Islam.
The left armer said that he converted into Islam in January 2011. “I converted to Islam in January 2011, after a period of personal study and reflection and it is a faith that I have always been interested in,” Parnell said in a statement. He further said “My faith choice is a matter which I would like to keep private.”
Parnell added that he will “continue to respect the team’s endorsement of alcoholic beverages.” South African batsman Hashim Amla who is a devoted Muslim does not wear the team official logo shirt because it is sponsored by alcoholic beverage Castle Lager.
