What is Ramadan?

Ramadan is the 9th Month in Islamic Calendar . It is considered as the Blessed month by Muslims in which they are obliged to fast from dawn to sunset. With avoiding eating and drinking other sinful and unethical acts are also prohibited during fast in Ramadan. Contemplations in mosques is observed daily in Ramadan. Muslim worship and seek forgivness from Allah as much as they can. It is believed that Satan is captured By Allah in this Holy Month for the relief of Muslims , so they may not be misguided by Satan. Ramadan is of 29 or30 days according to the calander it follows the moon. Muslims celeberate the whole month of Ramazan by worshipping Allah.

Another important thing in Ramadan is ; Laylatul Qadar: the Night of Power. It is thought to be the exact day when Holy Quran was revealed and completed, this night falls within last 10 days of the Holy month of Ramadan.


At the end of Ramadan , Muslims celeberate Eidi-ul-Fitr.
